Mehedi Miraz gets plot in Khulna city

Bangladesh bowler Mehedi Hasan Miraz has been gifted a plot in Khulna City as a reward for his match-winning performance that helped the Tigers to their first Test win against England and eventually draw the series.
His father received the land documents from the local authorities as the cricketer is now playing against Australia in Chittagong.
Miraz took 19 wickets to become the man of the series on the home soil in October last year.
Besides his sensational on-field exploits, his family’s poverty and predicaments also hit the headlines at that time.
As a result, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina instructed the local authorities to find a piece of land for Miraz’s family in Khulna City.
